- Take a breather and get to know the role and the company you’re applying to. It’s like going on a blind date without even knowing the person’s name. Not cool, right?
- If you’re facing a phone call or a video chat interview, brace yourself! Prepare in advance, show up fashionably early (but not too early to creep them out), and make sure your internet connection won’t bail on you. Oh, and don’t forget to turn on that camera. Trust me, they’d love to see your beautiful face.
- It’s all about detective work. Try to figure out who’s going to be grilling you during the interview. Check out their LinkedIn profile or do some social media stalking. Just kidding, but seriously, knowing a bit about your interviewer’s experience can help you connect better.
- Look presentable. You’re going for an in-person interview or a video chat. No, you don’t need to rock a tuxedo, unless it’s a job as James Bond. Just make sure you’re not in a walking disaster zone. Take a shower, comb your hair, and put on something clean. Simple, right?
- And most important — chill out. Don’t let the job interview stress you out like a twisted episode of a reality show. Put on a smile, enjoy the process, and embrace it as a chance to learn and grow. Trust me, a positive attitude can make a world of difference.
